About Us

Our speciality is in the empirical, ethical, historical and theological study of faith communities, the institutions they build, their national and international contribution and their interface with government, business, and the wider civic sphere. This includes a developing track record in working with UK, EU and other policy makers in the public, private and voluntary sectors to help them develop their evidence base, understanding, policy effectiveness and innovation when it comes to matters of faith communities, faith based organisations, education, volunteering, and social cohesion. Because our aspiration is to have faith communities understood as part of wider social and ethical debates we are a lead partner in the wider Cambridge Programme On Social Enterprise, The Third Sector and Corporate Social Responsibility and the International Young Leaders Network.

With a founding inspiration in Catholic social teaching and thinking we are also active in inter-faith, social science, philosophical and theological reflection on ideas of justice, solidarity, war, development and conflict resolution. We greatly value our strong working relationships with the Churches and the wider faith communities and have a strategic partnership with Blackfriars Hall, University of Oxford and Caritas Europa.
